Each pictures will present the natural wonders of Yellowstone (Bison, Coyote, Black Bear, Wapitis, Pronghorns Antelopes …), with Native American quotes from Indian Chiefs.
This exhibit is a special tribute to American Buffaloes and to Indian culture that was always so close to animals and nature.
“Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you for your children” Crazy Horse, Lakota-Oglala.
Population of American Buffaloes in 1800 : 70 millions
Population of American Buffaloes in 1902 : a group of 23 wild animals, living in the remote backcountry of Yellowstone National Park !
“We, the Indians have always loved and respected nature. It is a great concern to us that man is trying to modify nature. Remember that it is always more difficult to restore the natural balance than to produce an imbalance. The man is not born on earth to correct nature but to be the faithful guardian of it” Sitting Bull, Indian Chief – Sioux Hunkpapa.
Come to visit Cornier in November, for sharing new great moments of nature at “Instants Sauvages 74″ (several exhibits, photography, scuptures, movies, slideshows, conferences …).
